Since Google’s Panda update, which was essentially a change in the algorithm ranking factor used by Google, there have been even more challenges presented to those working in SEO and for those implementing SEO techniques for their website.
The change was introduced on a global scale during April 2011 and has since been updated regularly. The reason for these changes? Well they were brought in to focus on quality control within search and to also punish the ranking of websites using poor quality content. Making sure your site doesn’t get punished by the big panda is very important as your site will drop downwards in the SERPs.

Building your website can be a time consuming process. There are a number of things to consider initially, including site design, layout, how many pages you will feature and the content you wish to visually display. Alongside building the website you should also be thinking very carefully about search engine optimisation techniques, as these will help to rank your website pages higher up in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). The site design and implementation of SEO strategies should come hand in hand, although if you have not yet considered this area you can begin by using a few of the following techniques in order to improve your website’s visibility. Ideally you want to create a search engine friendly website and by using some of these methods below you will be well on your way to achieving this.

When done properly, SEO is straightforward. There’s nothing complicated about it at all, as long as you abide by the general advice given. Unfortunately, for some, there is a constant need to dress it up and add issues that could easily be avoided.
Take content for instance. You know it’s good for SEO and it’s useful for visitors too. So just write the content that fits each individual page. Yes keywords are important, but if you’re writing for a particular category, service or product, there’s a fair chance that the keywords will appear naturally. Okay, it’s good to have them at the start and finish of content; but don’t torture yourself trying to cram them into every conceivable gap.
This is just one instance where over-thinking and overcomplicating something that is fundamentally straightforward can have an adverse effect on your site and it’s SEO.

Produce Content for All Pages
You should already have your architecture in place. So when your pages are complete it is vital that they contain text. Depending on how many resources you have available, this content can be as long or as short as you require.
