So you’ve invested time into creating a good blog post or information page, what now? What can you do to get that content seen and ensure that you get some return on that original time you invested in it?
Content, as we all know by now, is integral to SEO. It is what the search engines look for when trying to decode what a website is all about. They use the words on any page to find context and provide a comparative metric for indexing sites that are targeting the same phrases.
Content is context, but it is also there for your human visitors. It can inform, educate and persuade, you just need to find the best platform for it. A lot of SEO work is based on how often a website can be indexed. If you have a small website with relatively few links and rarely update its content then you are highly unlikely to achieve the same level of attention as a site that is larger and is frequently updated. The reason for this is simple, search engine crawlers require new information to process in order to index your site. With indexing essential for you to improve your rankings, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that the more you are indexed by the search engines, the better your chances are of achieving a higher ranking.

You’ll no doubt have noticed that there are a lot of business sites sporting blogs; in fact some have nothing but. If you haven’t already integrated one into your website, you may be left wondering what all the fuss is about.

If your company is at the forefront of new innovations, or is in a sector that is undergoing major changes, you want to be able to show visitors and clients exactly what is going on. If people don’t come to you for news, they’ll go elsewhere it’s as simple as that.
