Making Article Marketing Simple
If you are using article marketing to promote your site, you will be all too aware of how much time it takes to write and submit your cherished content. Of course the most time consuming is the writing itself. First you have to research your subject, then you have to come up with a title then you actually have to produce the copy.
The whole process can take hours from start to finish. If time is precious and resources scarce, this might be time that you think could be better spent elsewhere. Well, there’s no need to abandon it just yet. Article marketing becomes a whole lot simpler when you work in batches.
If you’re writing one article on a complex subject that has taken time to research, why not do a few more. Once you have the momentum with you, writing becomes easier. After the first article, which might take some time to produce, you should have a better understanding of the subject and might have already developed a few alternative angles that you could explore. This should allow you to shave huge chunks of time off of creating your articles.
Okay, so this isn’t exactly automated, but by batching your work together you should be able to achieve great articles on a single subject that are then ready to distribute to your article submission site of choice. The additional benefit is that you can research various titles for your articles and attract a variety of links and have your content rank for different keywords. As with any article submission, you are looking to incorporate a link to deep within your site and have it hosted on a variety of associated sites. Therefore the more variety you are able to offer, in terms of producing a range of articles on a similar theme, the better your chances of gaining a valuable trackback.
You also need to try out various submission sites. We all have our favourites, but some are more effective than others. Ezine Articles is probably one of the most popularly used online. With a high PageRank it offers the tantalising opportunity for a decent link. It also has a very high pick up rate for articles submitted to their pages.
Buzzle is another strong website with a decent PageRank. However, unlike Ezine, it doesn’t really afford the opportunity for articles to be syndicated elsewhere. Of course, many of the links that you do receive from the hundreds of sites that might host your article won’t have much effect. In fact some might actually disperse the strength of quality sites (such as the original) host, by being seen as duplicate content by search engines.
All worries aside though, if you have a poor linking structure, then article marketing is a great way to get your site up to speed. Don’t expect miracles, even if you do manage to attract hundreds of links. But you can at least get your content out there, with links and then promote it on the side to ensure the very best pick-up rate.
Articles are an extension of your site, therefore they have to be written properly and afforded the right level of respect. One article can generate dozens of targeted visits; so the more you have live at any one time, the better you chance of gaining visitors and linking strength.

Writing a batch of articles off the back of one subject is a great idea – better than spinning the same information over and over, which is monotonous. Just a suggestion, why not write a series of articles on a given subject but broken down into parts, as in: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3 etc. That way, readers will look forward to the next article in a series, obviously keeping their attention and more likely to bookmark your Profile for future reading.
Thanks for the great info.
