26 September, 2011 2:03 pm | Posted by Ben Norman

The Search Engine Optimisation fraternity aren’t exactly known for being shy and retiring. Everybody has a blog, lots of people have written books and many speak at online marketing events. However, with all this ‘noise’ going on, how do you know which advice is relevant and who is telling the truth?

The great secret in SEO is not a secret at all. In order to succeed you need two basic things, content and links. The Value of Sharing Knowledge for Free

19 September, 2011 3:41 pm | Posted by Ben Norman

A lot of people struggle when it comes to writing white papers, blog posts and guest articles online. Not necessarily with the content itself, but more with the concept of giving it away for free. How can that possibly benefit your business? Surely there are better ways of marketing your services?

The truth is that knowledge sharing is integral to the Internet. People have been doing this for decades and will continue doing so for some time to come. It’s not just information that we share though. Some companies give away prizes, discounts and even products. The idea is fundamentally the same though. If you give stuff away, people will become interested in what you offer. If you hide away and do nothing, you could be missing out on huge opportunities for exposure.
